Pop-Up in Google Search Console where you enter the URL of your website

  5. Select your Domain Name Provider
    Select your Domain Name Provider

When you select the domain name provider where you hosted your website, a list with several steps shows up. You just have to follow them. Depending on your host this list can be very long.
That’s why I suggest another method to connect your website to Google Search Console!
At the top of the actual website chose Alternate methods.
    Chose Alternate Methods
Alternate Methods to verify your website

After that thick the radio Button HTML file upload.
Now you should see the following window.

    Google Search Console HTML-File-Upload
How to upload the HTML-Verification file to your server

You only have to follow the instructions and that’s it. Well of course you have to have access to the files of your website to verify it with this method. In case you have access but you are not really sure how to use your access, I will explain you how and where to upload the HTML verification file.

The easiest way to access the files of your website is via a FTP client. I use Filezilla . Just download the client and install it on your PC. Now you need the server name where your website is hosted e.g. ftp.your_host.com, your username and your password. This data is given to you by your host. Type in your data in the appropriate fields and you are connected to your server. Now upload the HTML verification file to the root directory and go to the URL at point 3 in the list. That’s it! Now you only have to click the Verify Button and your website is connected to your brand new Google Search Console account.
